Music Video Finale

P3T4 Happy from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.

In G.T, we are starting the last project of the year. This is also my last blog post of the year... I think. Our last project is a music video. We are doing Happy by Pharell Williams. So, our storyline is about some other people who are sad, and I make them happy. I give them magic dust, and they become happy. We all start parading around, spreading joy. In this project, me and another teammate bust out a move. My teammates in this project are Treysen Nishida, James Kessler, and finally Tyler Tanaka. This storyline relates to the lyrics, because, well, the song is literally named happy, and everyone is happy. The music video will have a fun feeling to it, and it will be fun to make and film.

In our project, we have a lot of scenes and edits. My favorite fast-edit was when we have a dance off. It was really quick, but also very fun. We danced, I fell down, and I chased Treysen. We had a fun time filming the video, but it was embarrassing, and sometimes frustrating. Sometimes though, you have to go out of your comfort zone. I am pretty proud of our music video. It is very weird to think that this is our last project of the year. It is good that we are doing this project, and if we should do this project again, we have the experience. The project may also help in future jobs, as we know how to edit and film. We learned how to use special effects, and do green screen.

This music video is pretty good in my opinion. I think it is either the best work or second best work that we did. This is because we had fun, and we did a pretty good storyline. The editing looks pretty good, and it is synced pretty good as well. It fits into the project rules. It is close to 2 minutes, and is pretty high quality. The story is edited to the beat of the song, which also fits the requirements. We added cover pictures, which matches the song, and also green screen and effects. This is our last project of the year, as well as blog post. See you in a couple months!

This is what was happening behind the scenes, while making the video!

Lyrics- Happy by Pharell Williams

well I should probably warn you I'll be just fine

Yeah, no offense to you don't waste your time

Here's why

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you know what happiness is to you

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

Happy, bring me down

Can't nothing, bring me down

My level is too high, bring me down

Can't nothing, bring me down

I said bring me down

Can't nothing, bring me down

My level is too high, bring me down

Can't nothing, bring me down

I said

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you know what happiness is to you

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you know what happiness is to you

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

Happy, bring me down

Can't nothing, bring me down

My level is too high bring me down

Can't nothing, bring me down

I said

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you know what happiness is to you

Because I'm happy

Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

Because I'm happy

Animated Life Lessons

Hello! In G.T we are starting a new animation project. In this project, I was teamed up with new people that I have never worked with. My teammates are Christina and Julie. My teammates are all fun to work with, and they have some personal character traits that we want to exaggerate. In our animation (it's about soccer), Julie is the coach and is nice and supportive. Christina is the friend who is helpful and makes me feel better when I mess up. I am the clumsy player, but I still try hard and practice as much as I can to get better. These character traits are what we have in our animation and real life.

In our story, we have an important life lesson that people can relate to. Our life lesson is to never give up and to keep trying even if you mess up. This can relate to other people because when you mess up, you get very stressed, and you stop. In our story, I get hit in the face and I still keep on trying! That is our life lesson that relates to you. We have humor in our story as well as a life lesson. Like I said already, I get hit in the face, and I just mess up. So our story is not just all the serious life lesson, it is also funny. That is how we used humor in our story and what our life lesson was.

So, as I have said already, in this project we were all working with new partners. This had some benefits, but also some down sides. Our productivity was good, but sometimes we did not all go in at our free time to work on this project. Our biggest challenge in this project was slow working. We have been behind because of this. Although there was a very frustrating part in this project, we had some fun moments. Our best moment in this project was probably when we were puppet warping. This was the best moment because of the weird movement.

Character Development

Happy late Easter! This post, I am describing myself and talking about the GT project I am doing. I am a person who likes to laugh, and to make people laugh. Sometimes it's on purpose, and sometimes completely on accident. I am nice, clumsy, and I have a lot of reasons to laugh. A funny imperfection that I have is I love pressing the snooze button on my alarm clock. I set my alarm extra early, just to press the snooze. For some reason, it helps me sleep better. Sometimes, I set my alarm a little late on accident, so when I wake up from the snooze, I have to hurry! I don't know why, but that is one strange yet funny imperfection I have.

In my animation that I will be creating, I will exaggerate my character trait of having fun. I might also add in laziness, since I am a little lazy. I will do this by creating scenes in my animation where I am playing with a ball, doing magic, or just having fun. I might also add me sleeping, for the laziness trait. I also want to add in sports in my teams animation, because I love playing sports. Especially soccer, as this is my favorite sport. This would be very cool, and I am excited to finish this animation project.

Creating a good .GIF takes a lot of steps, and some time and focus. Without these things, creating your .GIF will be very hard and frustrating. The first step in this .GIF is to take the pictures. We took the pictures in front of a green screen, so that it is not to hard to cut out in photoshop. The next step is, you guessed it. Cutting you out of the background with the quick selection tool in Photoshop. After you finish cutting it out and making your cutout image a new layer, we saved it. This is where the .GIF will be happening. When creating a .GIF in photoshop, you must crop. We had to crop the image to a certain size. After this, you go to view, animation, and a bar shows up. This is where you can start animating. You can create some new frames, move your character around, and when you are ready, make a new copy layer of your cutout, go to edit, puppet warp, and start animating! I love animating, because although it is frustrating, it can also be funny, seeing you make your arms act all funky. This is also a fun project, because when you finish a scene, you feel proud of it. We will be doing some cool projects, so stay tuned.

.MOV Film Festival

P3T8 James Rescues Candy from Kapaa Middle School MEDIA on Vimeo.

Our teams keywords connect with our audience because it matches what is happening in the movie/film. It also reminds us of what our team is needing to focus on for our film. Our keywords are loss, chase, friendship, rescue, and feelings. Without these keywords, our movie would probably be really strange and unorganized. That is how my teams keywords that our movie revolved around connect with the audience.

My teams movie's overall message is friends trying to escape from the cops, even though they don't think they did anything. Our sort of morale is to stick with friends, and to never leave friends behind. Our ending shows this morale, as he finds a new friend to save his other friend from the cops. We made this movie with action, and a morale, but we express it in a funny way. That is our morale and our overall message in our movie.

In our movie trailer, we had a few challenges. The biggest challenge came while filming. We created some comedy, so our team members were laughing. This led to us having to do the scene over and over again. Also, William, kept messing up on putting the handcuffs on James, in our part where James gets arrested. This also led to restarting the part over and over, since William took to long. Although we had a few challenges, it still went pretty smoothly, and we had fun filming.

Tiny Spherical Worlds

Composite images are good, but why all those images instead of just taking one? If you don't know what a composite image is, it is basically a image made up of several images. Composite images are most of the time more interesting than just one picture, as it is usually abstract and interesting. People get really creative with composite images. They are interesting, and even though they take a lot of work, they can end up to look really beautiful if worked on hard enough. That is why one picture is not always enough, and instead take a few and piece them together.

If you don't know the difference between a polar and spherical panorama, here it is. A polar panorama looks sort of like a planet, and it is really cool and creative. It is a panorama that is made into a planet with the magic of photoshop. A spherical panorama is also a panorama that is turned into something really cool with Photoshop. A spherical panorama looks a lot like a glass ball, and it is really cool. If you have Photoshop, you should definitely make a polar and spherical panorama. Here are some examples. 1, 2. Check it out!
Spherical 1
My finished polar panoramas/ tiny worlds are pretty convincing because of the magic of photoshop. Photoshop made the planet, I just had to fix the planet. There was a very noticeable line right down the middle of my planet, so I had to use Photoshop's clone stamp tool, because if I just painted on to the picture, it would not look as realistic. So I actually used some parts of the picture and just cloned it and put it somewhere so it would fit in and also make the world convincing. My planets might look like a moon, because I sort of messed up :(. That is what makes my tiny planets convincing that they are actually a real planet (or a real moon).

Hockney Style Joiners

In my photomontages, I use different objects and ways to create them than David Hockney. In David Hockney's photomontage, he had to glue them together piece by piece! In mine, I used photoshop to piece all the images together. I took a picture of a doorknob, and David Hockney does more scenic and portrait photomontages. That is how my photomontage is different from the creator of the photomontage, David Hockney.

Images can have a positive and negative effect on viewers. How? Photo's that are truly amazing or inspiring can make someone feel energized, happy, or any other emotion that the picture gives off. These are pictures with a positive effect. Yet sadly, some can give off a negative effect. There can be sad pictures, or pictures that are inappropriate, for example a picture meant to tease someone else. That is how images can give off a positive and negative effect. So when you are on social media and looking at pictures, find the positive ones!

For my final photomontage, I want to show people my love for soccer/football. This is my favorite sport, and I just love playing it. I am going to try to edit it so that it is interesting and inspiring. I want to make people want to just get outside and play some old fashioned soccer/football. I want a positive effect on the viewers of the photomontage. This is what I intend the viewers to see.

2016 Aspirations

For this new year, I have 5 (and a bonus) goals that I want to achieve. I want to at least score 5 goals in the upcoming soccer season. On scratch, I want to start a new game that will be really fun for users.  I also want to learn how to cook more things, because I love cooking. On my youtube channel, I want to hit at least 40 subscribers. I also want to help a lot of people with tutorials. And as a bonus, I want to get more views on my blog. Those are my goals for this new year! Have a good 2016!

The most important goal for me this year is scoring at least 5 goals in the upcoming soccer season. This is very important to me because I am aiming to becoming a pro soccer player. So if I do reach my goal, I will know that I have improved dramatically and I will gain confidence as I make my goal bigger and reach it. Reaching this goal will be a massive milestone for me. That is why that is my main and most important goal this year.

I will do as much as I can to reach my goal. I will practice almost always and always try hard. This goal will be hard to complete because my position is not always forward. I will always try to get to practice on time and every time we have it.  I will not just try to get 5 goals, but more! That is what I will do to reach this milestone.

These are my top
three best picture for the photo-a-day challenge so far.
