Comedy Writing

I think sense of humor is an important character trait to have. I think this because it is always nice to laugh, same as making others laugh. Laughing is important because it can relieve stress and can make you feel happy. Laughing will help you in life because if you are sad or depressed, you just should laugh, and you will feel a little better. So for the last time, laugh and make others laugh.

Here are 5 tips for a pretty good joke. This will hopefully make you have better and funnier jokes. You must be confident. Do not be afraid if no one laughs at your joke. Remember one laugh is an accomplishment. My second tip is to think of the persons sense of humor. Try to find something that they would think is funny. Add gestures and possibly speak in a different voice to make it funnier. Try to be your inner self.  Try not to laugh at your own joke. Try your hardest to not get distracted while you are telling your joke. This will make your audience think you are an amateur at joke telling. Those are my five tips.

I came up with my comedic monologue by thinking of an animal that is innocent and funny. I chose a little bird. I added dialogue with sarcasm in it to make it funnier. I added a lot of words in the beginning. I added a cheesy pun (those actually can be funny) and I thought of every one else my age and if they would think it would be funny. My ending was just a simple little sentence, "This bird never flew again". That is how I created my joke. You can follow these steps and maybe create a very funny joke!

Motivational Poster

I will be explaining how I created my motivational poster in photoshop. This is a project for my class. It is challenging but in the end it will look really nice! We put in our text layers, our pictures, and we kerned. Here is how I did it.

Here are the steps. I first created two text layers, one with my personal quotes and one with my personal manifesto. I then added my three personal symbols, things that represent me, and a portrait photo. I put them in one tab and moved the pictures around so it would fit and it would look nice. I started to kern. I made some words bigger and some words smaller. Then I was pretty much done!

My biggest challenge on the project was definitely kerning. It was so hard. I could have done a better job if I knew what I was doing. I probably should have asked for more help. In the end, I could not finish it. So there is my biggest problem and how I could have improved what I did.

I could not finish my project. I could not finish because I could not put in a triadic color scheme. That is why I could not finish.
